Lol! So the bitching is coming you think?

So, following past updates, there is usually a statement with release dates by now, but still not quite late for an update just yet.
Obviously Patreon and SubscribeStar actually make Caribdis money, whereas everything he offers on Itch makes him nothing, by his own choice of course. That's capitalism, he's going to give more attention to the platforms that provide him income than he is the platform that isn't.
That's weird, because, the last update was ACTUALLY June 2023. When was the last update for Eternum? I think it was July. For the really good content, it often takes quite a while to put out new updates, and you'd better hope they take their time and do a good job, not rush because you're impatient and give us kibbles and bits.
Caribdis has an older novel, "Once Upon a Lifetime", that's honestly just as good writing wise if a little less on the graphical side [But really only a little less].
"We Were Just Kids" is a VERY raw, but also VERY good VN, I'd say on par with Eternum, just the exact opposite of light-hearted, feels like a real story.
And I'm going to assume that you're reacting emotionally and defensively rather than trying to lie to your customers.
I invite you to take a look at your logs. The last time I looked at this game was 133 days ago, and the language existing today is nearly identical to what I saw then. I made very similar comments at that time too.
You may have lost track of where the last four months went in your busy lives but the statement is quite accurate.
Right, so it sounds my impression stands. Not that it MUST have sex scenes, but like you said, the conversations drag. Like 2/3s of the written content could be slashed and the result would flow so much better. Of course then you'll have somebody complaining about it being too short, I'm just a quality over quantity type.
I appreciate you saving my next few afternoons
Even on their Patreon there has been no content update beyond what's available here. Some bug fixes [allegedly] and there's some kind of weekly "progress update."
They told us that Chapter 7 was already largely complete at least four months ago, yet it's still not out.
I get that it takes more time for indie devs to put together content, but the people paying for the patreon subscriptions have already paid well more than a AAA title waiting for one more little piece to come out.
It's an utter shame, the game was clearly going places.
I believe this was my first itch.io vn way back, I think around ep6 - 7, and what I remember was the feeling that everything just dragged on and friggin on, not that the content was bad but like it just felt like it really wasn't going anywhere, and there weren't any real scenes.
Before I put myself through that again, would anyone say that there's been significant improvement since 6-7?
Know what really sucks? How long it takes for updates to come out on the good games. How small those updates tend to be. How quickly you can burn through that new content.
But it's that good, that I'll replay the whole game after every update, get my rocks off to my favorite scenes a few more times, like getting back with an old girlfriend after a long break. Sucks when she leaves again, but that week is yet another to remember.
